   LUBRICANTS
CPI FLUID ENGINEERING
Launches the Icematic® Brand
CPI Fluid Engineering has launched the Icematic® brand to offer engineered solutions for low GWP refrigerants. Distributed by Climalife, the Icematic® NXG and ECO series of products provide lubrication solutions for both transitional and long-term sustainable low GWP refrigerants.
The Icematic® NXG series is designed for today’s lower GWP refrigerant gases. These lubricant solutions are ideal for installations that want to utilise refrigerants offering lower GWP impacts.
Next generation refrigerants with lower GWP, such as R-32, R-448A, R-450A, R-452A (among other blends), reduce the environmental impact of refrigeration systems.
The Icematic® ECO series is designed for long-term sustainable low GWP refrigerants to provide optimum compressor system benefits. The ECO series enables premier performance, reliability, and efficiency to achieve the lowest direct and indirect GWP impacts.
The ECO series has been specially formulated to
work with R-1234ze, R-1234yf, and non-fluorinated refrigerants such as hydrocarbons, R-600a (Isobutane), R-290 (Propane), R-717 (Ammonia), and R-744 (Carbon Dioxide).
*In development
The Icematic® NXG and ECO product series are available across a broad range of viscosity grades and packaging options. For more information about Icematic® solutions please contact the Climalife team.

     LEAK DETECTION
DNI* - Connected leak detection and energy management
Matelex, a specialist in leak detection and energy management for thermodynamic installations, joined the Dehon Group in October 2017.
Matelex markets the DNI, a patented smart system that detects refrigerant leaks using indirect measurements. Coupled with a remote surveillance web interface (Sentinelle), this system can be used to constantly monitor installations for changes in refrigerant load and leaks, thanks to measurements that are taken every 2-3 seconds.
This technology not only provides a suitable response to European regulatory requirements (EU F-Gas 517/2014), which require the installation of a detector to warn the operator of leaks for all installations containing more than 500 t CO2 eq., but it is also an energy efficient solution that monitors installation performance.
In fact, the DNI does more than simply detect leaks, as it also offers two complementary modules. The energy module calculates the energy consumption of different components and calculates the installation's actual COP, whilst the floating HP module helps achieve energy savings.
DNI* stands for Détecteur de Niveau Intelligent, or Smart Leak detection.
